Howard Gurwitz
PRODUCTION MANAGER

Production Manager for Renovations Unlimited, Inc. Mr. Gurwitz is responsible for field operations including the management of the Project Management team, Superintendents, scheduling, budgets and purchasing functions. Mr. Gurwitz possesses over 25 years of construction management experience.

Prior to joining Renovations Unlimited, Mr. Gurwitz was Production Manager for Kady Construction Inc. where he was responsible for supervising the construction of luxury, multi-level, multi-unit condominiums in Washington, DC. He also completed custom home construction and oversaw superintendents of additional projects and represented company at International Home Builders Show.

Mr. Gurwitz was Project Manager for Bethel Design/Construct where he directed construction of a 15,000 SF, $2.6 M house and conversion of a 20,000 SF commercial renovation into a church, and a 10,000 SF school tenant fit-out. Mr. Gurwitz created company-wide systems for the custom home construction process from design through completion, negotiated contracts, hired and oversaw subcontractors, managed cost & quality control systems, coordinated architects and engineers, supervised and trained project managers and superintendents and oversaw multiple sites.

From 1999 to 2001, Mr. Gurwitz was Project Manager for Stanley Martin Custom Homes & Renovations where he managed residential construction of custom homes. His responsibilities included supervision of superintendents, contract negotiation, hiring of subcontractors, management of cost and quality control systems, coordination with architects and engineers, and revision of unit products. He also managed multiple jobsites, supervised personnel and inspected work.

Additional experience includes Purchasing Manager for Regency Homes Corp., and Project Manager for Chadsworth Homes Inc. where he managed residential construction of custom home and developments, developed, bid, supervised and managed engineering through bond release and assisted with county approval process, represented company at conferences, trade shows and seminars

Mr. Gurwitz has a BS in Business Administration from Towson State University and has substantial construction related training including: Fairfax County BOCA Code Review Seminar Series, National Home Builders Association Custom Home Builders Symposium, Management and Leadership, Construction Management Training Program, Small Business Administration Seminar, Vale National Construction, Estimating, Construction Methods, Construction, Estimating, Blueprint Reading.
